Information & Requirements to apply for Scholarship
There will be two $500.00 scholarships awarded. This scholarship may be used at any trade or academic institution of the recipient’s choice. The scholarship can be used to cover any cost related to schooling for example registration fees, books, lab fee or tuition. The selection process will be: A first round selection of 6 applicants from the application /essay process and a final round of interviews by a panel to determine the recipients.

Must live in Linn County

Must be a senior attending College or Trade School in the Fall of 2024

Minimum of 2.0 GPA

Two letters of recommendation: One from school (teacher/ advisor) and one from community (Pastor, Family Friend, Employer, Mentor)

Write a 500 word essay: “Why is the history of our local area important and include one Linn County historic fact you find interesting.

Must be able to attend Opening Ceremonies at the Linn County Pioneer Picnic on June 21th to receive Scholarship.

Return the application to Linn County Pioneer Association either by email at LCPA1887@gmail.com or by mailing it to PO Box 57, Brownsville, OR 97327 or leave it with the Central Linn High School Secretaries.
